| Pemberton Stadium | The Board |
The New Stadium and Surrounding area at Pemberton / Trostre 17/02/2008 Its been over 2 years since the original pages were created so I thought a new page could be created to show how it looks today against the photos of 2 years ago. So I've kept the original photos here and added new ones along side Using the map in the plans section, I aimed to try and give you an idea of how things will look or rather, where things will be. You will need to use your imagination a bit and the exact locations of the buildings may be slightly different. So where to start? Well I thought some people would be coming in by car, so where do you park? On the road to Trostre Works behind the Blockbuster Video store and the petrol station will be two match day carparks. Carpark1 will hold approx 300 cars, while Carpark 2 will hold approx 500 cars. Once the car is parked, its a short walk to the existing subway to cross the main Llanelli to Swansea road. No change here Once through this currently battered, dark subway. you will pass an Electricity sub station on the left and then come onto Ground Entrance 2. Along with the pictures already seen, I took four more photographs of the area which we believe is marked out for the stadium. Leaving the Stadium and heading down to the current Trostre roundabout, the one with the McDonalds sign on it and heading back to Halfway lights. This corner area will have a wetlands feature on it. Continuing on towards the Halfway lights, this area will house the Food Retail Unit, Hotel and Restaurant. It looks like the Hotel and Restaurant have swapped over locations compared to the original plans. Next we come onto the first of two Fast Food outlets on the complex, with a Police Facility nearby. There's no road going to these, so they may have been binned. Finally that leads us on to the area containing the Training Pitch, 6 lane running track and other sporting facilities.
